Information Updates (updated 9-3-2020)
September 3, 2020 UPDATE:
Good evening. We know that there have been various reports regarding school reentry next week. We were hopeful to be able to bring back our PreK to 4th grade students in a hybrid model starting September 8. However, due to conflicting information regarding approval and new guidance and requirements from the PED that were different from what we had earlier this week, we are NOT going to be able to begin a hybrid reentry next week. We are keeping everything as is for the time being until we can get clear, specific, and consistent information from PED for our specific school district. This means that there will be NO CHANGES in our current processes until further notice. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and frustration, as we are feeling the same emotions ourselves. On a side note, we would like to thank you all for the tremendous efforts these last few weeks. Our staff, parents, and students are doing an excellent job in a remote learning environment and far surpassing expectations! We are so proud of each of you and grateful that all of you are a part of Cimarron Municipal Schools. Thank you and have a good evening.
Dear Parents,
I want to thank you for your support and patience as we are working through many challenges to provide each student with an excellent education. It has been a couple weeks since we started our remote learning at Cimarron Municipal Schools and I wanted to address questions that have come up...

Monday School
First Monday school was a success for EACH child that attended! All students will have access to different levels of support, based on need, outside of the regular classroom instruction. Students will have the opportunity to seek out or be recommended to receive after school support. Students with additional needs will be identified for REMEDIATION that will be done through specific, individualized instruction delivered in MONDAY SCHOOL once per month. If your child is identified for MONDAY school, their participation is required and attendance will be taken. Bus transportation and school meals will be provided for those Monday remediation days. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you would like your child to receive individualized instruction at our next Monday School, Sept. 28th.
Communication
Teachers’ office hours are from 3:00-4:00 Tuesday through Friday and they will check their messages and email daily during this time. Please be aware that once class starts teachers are managing students on site and remote learners throughout the district and will not be able to stop to take a call or answer email.
Any communication received after 4 will not be addressed until the following day.
If you are needing immediate assistance please call the school and secretary or principal will assist you.
